Pic Thread: PARTS!!

First things first. NOTHING in this thread is to be for sale...ok? And remember, NO PM SALES!...ok?

I know it's not just me, don't others just love seeing the parts alone? I mean these trucks are the sum of their wonderful parts. I have sold some in the past and that means take pictures. Now I just have the pictures and I'm not deleting them! Picture threads are all about eye candy, so let's get started

No doubt, but we'll see. These are all parts I already sold, but I also have pictures of gem pieces I'll never sell because I need them. I'll edit about no PM sales

I'll take it. I mean I take it your stash is mostly '67 stuff (shew, glad I already knew that). Yeah, no for sale here. Well, just talk to me about it first. How's that?

Those were some C/20 rear shackles I got when the dealership couldn't get K/20 ones. I ended up finding the K/20s.

Re: Pic Thread: PARTS!!

NO, It's not for sale but a few years ago I offered up this 67 short bed with a 292 /3 speed /3.73 posi /decent cab / short bed / clean title /wheels and tires here on the board and got No response at $2,000 , I decided to build out the truck . I would venture to believe If it where listed today it wouldn't last long ? NO ,It's NOT for sale .

I liked them when they cost $500. and come loaded with extra parts !

Re: Pic Thread: PARTS!!

And many of the junkyarders won’t sell you a whole truck. It’s worth a lot more to them pieced out.
I guess we better start stashing the 90’s model trucks now if we think some time in the future we might want to fix one up. While there are plenty around.

Red face Re: Pic Thread: PARTS!!

i like this thread A LOT. i wish i had time to dig through my storage's so i could post some pics of a few "drool worthy" parts i have stashed away. back in the 80's when my cousin and myself started buying/parting/selling 67-72's we bought many for 500 or less with rare options. i wish we had taken pic's. i'll list a few that i remember-72 cheyenne super, big block, tilt, am/fm, a-c, p-s and cruise control. 500 bucks and drove it home.- 68 GMC suburban, buddy buckets, cruise control and shoulder belts. - 72 K20 cheyenne, tilt, tach,am/fm, rear posi, auxillary fuel tank,600 bucks. several 67's with buddy buckets and speed warning - 69 suburban, big block, a-c, speed warning, paid 700 for it with original paint and upholstery and no rust. there are many more and other than the K20 all were parted out. sometimes i wish i could kick my own ass for parting some of these.

Those are '67-only GMC "Super Custom" fender emblems, which was the equivalent to a Chevy CST. That's what my '67 project truck will have.

C'mon Jerry, start digging. I know what you mean about not taking pictures of stuff, both parts and trucks (and old girlfriends).

I knw some members here who could really ramp this up...and everyone has a way to go take pictures, right?

When I was sorta new to the parts selling and buying area of these trucks I had several of these horn buttons in really nice shape. I gave them away, a few to board members. I had no idea they were hard to come by. I have one left and the inner part is peeling away so it looks like crap from the button side ... doh!

Now when I see stuff that's selling like hotcakes for a decent amount of money I look to see how many extras I have ... plenty? So I put some up for sale ... Crickets lol!
