Without seeing the rest I can see stop at just driving it less details like antenna. You get a radio too? Can't wait to see the interior etc.

Re: Been hit in the head one time too many

I know everyone likes pictures but I didn't take any as usual. I'll snap some when it gets delivered. (Free delivery ) I'm just making room for it right now. I've got too many cars. I've got to squeeze it in and my Cadillac's battery isn't taking a charge. It's 12 years old and it finally gave up. So I'm waiting on a new one. Once I can move the Caddy I'll have the room. That thing is a boat.

The Packard has everything. The PO just took stuff off to prep it for paint.

I love these Packards!
I tried for years to by a 48 here locally the the lady's father bought new. Didn't run, rat pi$$, etc. but it was solid. The last time I went by there the house was empty and the car was gone.
I still want one!
Congrats on snagging yours. It sure is going to a good home.

One of these days maybe Dale will behave and not need a corner anymore but then again the cold ones will probably just start the misbehavin’ cycle all over again!

Can’t wait to see some more pictures!

Re: Been hit in the head one time too many

Well a UFO landed in my front yard today.

I still have to inventory all the parts. It has all the trim and the sun visor. Everything is there.

This car is straight as an arrow. Not one dent, no rust (except minimal surface rust) Not a big deal.

It's 71 years old and I'm the third owner. 59,000 miles on the clock. The PO bought it from the estate of the original owner. Obviously the sun has taken its toll on the paint. But I can live with that. I've been rolling my truck in "patina" for 12 years now.

Wifey loves it. That's a plus.

The seller gave me the number of a guy that called him after I bought it. He want's to buy it bad. The seller said I could make some money. Nope. It's not for sale.

Now the work begins. Get the old girl back on the road.

Look how tiny my Porsche looks behind it.

My thinking exactly. My wife said that I am nuts to paint it black living in the desert.

She's right. I can't argue that point. But it's still going to be black.

What year is your Cad? I used to drive a 72 Sedan Deville, a boat it was alright. I'll never forget how it drove. It actually belonged to my former step-dad, you guys have Porche in common too. He had a 69 911 when I knew him. That and a Speedster, I think a 356 that sat in his garage for ages, but it belonged to someone else.

That is nice!!! Dayum! I do believe that it is certainly a later model than mine. At least 1951?? Definitely NOS. Very hard to find in that condition. That's worth a couple bucks.

I like the black but think they look better in red. Congrats on it. What Porche? I see it way back there.

Yeah. The Packard kind of dwarf's it back there. It's a small car. It's a 2003 996. Put your seatbelt on in this little guy.

I never noticed that before. Maybe because the two are such different cars.

But I think A nice looking rear end is a good thing to look at. I think we can all agree on that.

I may wrap it. That's a good idea. My yellow Corvette is wrapped to protect the paint from the desert sun. My wife's red Beetle was wrapped and the paint was always perfect and that car never saw the inside of a garage.
