Re: Gas Prices?

Crazy crazy. Our price has held steady at $3.39.9 for reg. at almost all the stations no matter where they are. I have never seen prices so unified. That is the strangest thing to me. Or should I say a new sign of some sort of BS added to the old BS. Some stations are higher, such as by the interstate. But that's the same ole same ole hiway robbery we know to expect. Rural crossroad, along the route, in town, convenience stores, Service stations, places that used to be the cheapest, they are all $3.39.9.

I know the food stores were giving monthly redeemable points toward a fuel discount. I don't see that happening now.

I wasn't too happy a few days ago when I posted our had jumped from $5.769 to $6.209. Now it's $6.509 and I still have no idea why.

Re: Gas Prices?

It's over $7 a gallon for premium here. It's $.40 a gallon cheaper at CostCo. I was going to go up early this morning but forgot. Tomorrow.

I paid $5/gal for regular unleaded here in Phoenix on Sat. That's the highest it's ever been, I think. Premium is just under $6.

Fred Sanford always grabbed his heart and said "Elizabeth! I'm coming to ya' Elizabeth!" Was a constant running gag on the Sanford and Son show. Redd Foxx was great on that show, always liked watching it. Somewhat ironic as Redd actually did pass from a heart attack.

That was yesterday.... today it's $6.649. Week and a half ago it was $5.769. This is for the cheapest, cash only, pump it yourself 87 octane. Crazy.

Not hard to do. Jefferson's wife was Weezie but her real name was Sanford. Weird, huh. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isabel_Sanford

Yep. I’ve seen every episode of every Norman Lear show and spin-off several times over

Good to know that I haven't completely lost my memory. But I remember it as "Louizee". Haven't seen any of that show in over 40 years.

What were you saying? I don't remember?

When I would go to the bar I would pin a note with my name and phone number to my shirt so I wouldn't forget.

Some good Samaritan would call my wife for directions to get me home and my wife would say "Keep him' and hang up.

That is actually a joke that I wrote and used in my act. Which explains why I'm out of work.

It's loosely based on the truth. I had a little trouble sometimes getting back in the house without a bunch of stuff being thrown at me and being called a lot of vulgar names.

I've learned that women and the police get upset easily. But the police will take it a lot easier on you. The cops may cut you a break but your wife wont. No way.

Re: Gas Prices?

Back over $4.00 a gallon in central Indiana. $4.09 if you pay by credit card. Indiana never suspended the state gasoline taxes as some states did. I don't really understand why gas would be a dollar a gallon cheaper in AK.

Re: Gas Prices?

Went to CostCo this morning to fill up my wife's car. It's a buck cheaper a gallon than the closest gas station.

Re: Gas Prices?

We've been at $3.39 for about three weeks now until yesterday. $3.39 in the morning, $3.59 by mid afternoon. ??? No idea why but what can one do but dig a bit deeper in the wallet. When you need gas in the tank, nothing else works but to put gas in the tank.
