Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks

Like your '69. I purchased the same U.S. Wheels for my C20. Gonna paint them the same color as the truck (Medium Blue Poly) and install Stainless trim rings with chrome center caps.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks

I just ordered a new LS376/480, Raceline Wheels, all the CPP suspension and big brakes along with a Wilwood Hydraboost setup and air bags. Hoping to have it all done by the end of Feb.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks

Here's my 69... Three days after I bought it. Always wanted one for a project, finally found one that was cheap, original and in great shape minus some cancer in one side of the cab and rocker. I've been trolling the site for a while now since I bought the truck a while back and gaining tons of knowledge and tips from all of you guys! Thanks to all of you who are willing to share your triumphs and tragedies. This site is awesome, but it also sucks sometimes because here I am looking for how to remove the trim one second, and then I get lost in another post and seconds later I'm searching on Craigslist trying to find a 5.3 out of a wrecked new truck... But, nonetheless... Thanks again for for the ideas and the inspiration, god knows I need both.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks

New here, only 2 posts, so I thought I would start here... Just got this last month. I've been getting her running: she had a blown tranny and fouled edelbrock 1405, so she purrs now with a Qjet and rebuilt th400, stock 350 sbc rebuilt about 10-15k ago, or so I think: she sat 5 yrs give or take, and the guy said only 500 miles on rebuild (but then again he didn't tell me about the blown tranny, prob the reason it was parked). Here are pics I took before pulling trigger on purchasing her. Will try to get new ones soon as stops raining...

Thanks! Glad to be here. Always wanted one of these era trucks: I grew up with an original owned 72 K5 ochre/white top that I have always loved... Toying with idea of changing chassis back over to 4x4 to match my cab/vin, a la dieselwrencher build...
