yes sir,i think you're right.there's a stack of them on the door of the 39 Chrysler i'm doing now,from an old gas station in Maine from the early 60's.i'd love to save them but i don't think i can.painting around them,when i get that far,will look stoopid??

My rear fenders for the 59 Baja showed up. I had to pick them up at the Post Office. I joked with the guy about not putting them in the mailbox and he said if I wanted that he could get em in there.

Too true. I know a guy who bought a really nice expensive fly-fishing rod. It came in a triangular box, prominently labeled "Do Not Fold". It was folded in half and stuffed into his mailbox.

This was back in the '70s, and that fishin' pole was over $300. At least that guy got his money for it from the PO. I hate to think what it cost in aggravation and time spent.

This guy is cool unlike the other guy that works there that has a massive chip on his shoulder. When I was all jacked up and had to use a walker to get around he put a big box on the counter and stared at me like I was supposed to carry it. I'm not sure how I was supposed to do that when I needed both hands just to stand up. An old lady saw this and helped me out. She was a tough old gal and cussed him but he didn't care. I reported him but he's still there with the same attitude and I'm sure that he hates me for ratting him out but I can live with that.

No pic, but I bought a bundle of 10' long 3/4" PVC pipe and transported it home in my Toyota Corolla. Dropped the rear seat backs and curved the pipe past the console up to the firewall. I was able to get the trunk closed. I expected that I'd have to bungee the trunk lid, but it worked out fine.

Same Corolla- I bought a Jet 10-20 drum sander. It wouldn't fit in the trunk or in the back seat. It rode shotgun 50 miles home, with me pushing it off myself at every right turn.
