Re: Dumpinthegutter '62 Build
Those patches on the pans are left over stock car tin. They are riveted in. I've been collecting old license plates as well, I may rivet those over the interior floor once it get enough. Interior is pretty far down the list right now. Once the suspension and drivetrain are done I'll move to the interior and lastly redo the exterior since it's not real great.

Glad to see you never got rid of it, and are now back to investing in it. Looking forward to your ongoing updates.

Re: Dumpinthegutter '62 Build
Thanks. Here's a little more progress. Headlights installed, front nearly done. Decided to a little different route in the rear and ordered the KP cantilever set up. Will be a couple more weeks before it comes in.

Re: Dumpinthegutter '62 Build
I need to do some searching but maybe someone can help point me in the right direction. What are the options for the front inner fenders? I'd like to keep from cutting them out completely and propping hood up with a stick. Here it is at it's current lowest. Tires are holding me up, cross member is still 2-3" off.

Re: Dumpinthegutter '62 Build
Hey whats up mi new to this was wondering if if you're frame or crossmember is stock 62. If so what type of arms are you using up front. We're any mods made to make it work

Re: Dumpinthegutter '62 Build
No, the cab is 62, but the frame and suspension are 64. I went that route to get away from the torsion front on the 62.

Re: Dumpinthegutter '62 Build
Hey Dump, I like the lights. Thought about something like this. Where did you get them if you don't mind me asking? Do they fit like original and do you have any pics of them lit?

Re: Dumpinthegutter '62 Build
These lights are very cheap. They came from eBay, like $50. Nothing special about them, just standard 7" light. These are actually for a jeep TJ. I must admit I have not hooked up the driving beam and halo to an accessory power as of yet. I currently just have them jumped off the low beam. I can post a pic tomorrow.
I still need advice on the front fenders. With the 22s, the small tubs others have done to fit 15s won't be large enough. Here's another poser shot. Getting a little lower. ![]() |

Re: Dumpinthegutter '62 Build
Thanks Dump. I have seen guys with tires bigger than 15 inch modify the inner fenders on here but I can't remember who it was. If I find the build I will forward the link.

Re: Dumpinthegutter '62 Build
It's a very easy install. This light did require a bit of modification to the housing. I just cut a small hole to fit the day time running light. Total time was about 30 minutes.

Re: Dumpinthegutter '62 Build
I really like your build so far, and the one thing that truely catches my eye is your subdued C10 emblem. It is so subtle and classy, that I want to copy it some day !!
Nicely done so far ![]()
