Re: 67-72 stepside pics, 2020 show and tell
It's been the same since 2015. I've put over 25,000 miles on the turbo 5.3!
Most fun vehicle ever, I feel good every time I open the garage and hit the road.

katwalk,
Super nice! I can't speak for everyone but I never get tired of photos of stepsides and a 4x4 just makes it that much more sweet!

Thanks to all for the kind words. I feel fortunate to have found this one and only about 15 minutes from my house.

Re: 67-72 stepside pics, 2020 show and tell
BRL,
Speaking of ones you wished you had not let get away. Here is my 70 model probably about 1990 or 1991. I'd had it since 1985 at this time and had put no telling how many miles on it. Picture this with a 1984 Honda 250X ATC in the back and that was teenage me. I had done a disc brake swap and rebuilt the engine by this time. In this photo you can see the 1970 Kingwood station wagon tail lights in the fenders and the narrowed rear bumper. Got lots of comments on those when I had it.

That's a super straight truck Dirt. What have you done to it if anything?

Re: 67-72 stepside pics, 2020 show and tell
My '68 Chevy C/10 Stepside shortbed came with 17.5'' 6-lug rims. 7.00 x17.5 tires. Rims were 5.25x17.5. Skinny and tall. Went taller in the Mid-Seventies, when the tire shops stopped selling 7.00s, so I went to 8.00x17.5. Got a 1'' lift that way. Spedometer was off by 7%, so I just read it as ''knots.''

Re: 67-72 stepside pics, 2020 show and tell
Dirt Wow. Everything on that truck that is normally beat up is straight as an arrow. It certainly wasn't used like a truck all it's life. Grille, bumpers and tailgate are fantastic. Man, that's a keeper right there.
