Playing around with an ND filter. May have to look into trying this again some time for a better shot

My 72 Super. Dark olive green. 30 second exposure + a flashlight to 'paint' light on the truck in a dark garage.

Mode: Manual
Shutter speed: 30 seconds
Aperture: 5.6
ISO: 100
White Balance: flourescent.

As it sits.

Lowered (photoshop)

Up sized the wheels a lot for fun, maybe too much haha.

And a couple of my Dad's 71 big block.

Good camera work in your shop.
I see you are from TX and are flying a Canadian flag ?
I live in Houston for the last 4 years. Just moved back to Canada (Calgary), which is home. Photo was taken in Houston. Loved my time there. Great people and what a car scene!

Duane man, I can't complain. Family is all up here, already have a great local girl, been spending time out in the rocky mountains. The only problem is the truck is parked for the winter. Actually, I'm dropping it off at a nearby shop in 2 weeks for for an engine swap. It'll be a long winter waiting for the snow to melt and get 'er back out on the streets. I sure miss our C10 club meets down there. Really glad to have met y'all.

Ekliptix, What a amazing shot(post#716). I had never heard of light painting before. I sent your pic to my brother who is a amateur photographer and he told me about light painting. Lucky for me he came here for the holidays and brought his camera gear with him. He and I spent several fun nights trying to do light painting. We had a blast together and I now have a new hobby. Your pic is just awesome and I thank you for posting it and introducing me to light painting. Here is a shot that my brother and I did. We took several exposures at 1 second shutter speed and moved the different lights around the scene each time. I stacked the shots in Photoshop and added some clarity in camera raw.

Nice pic, I might have to get a tripod eventually so I can try this.

Re: the 67-72 artistic shots thread

I enjoy taking pictures of vehicles in their state of decay. Recently I discovered this 68 Chevy in a shed near my home. I would like to locate the owner so I can take some better pics and find out what his plans are for the truck.

You sure did! I'm working on longer exposure times (30 seconds or more) and more "painting" with a flashlight. I used a 48" florescent shop light and a stage/theater light for that photo. Both were 110V.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Try to duplicate the rusty shadow effect, no idea how this happened, four years in the Florida sun. Maybe I should lightly whiten the letters like I did 8 years ago.

Hey look, a river in the background.
