I don't drink much alcohol of any kind anymore, but we used to get some really good "apple pie" moonshine from a guy up in the "hills" of East TN. There also lived a famous, or infamous, moonshiner nearby here. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Popcorn_Sutton

I guess it's like hot sauce. Yesterday we went out for Mexican food. My wife got the mild salsa and I got the hot. The hot salsa was just that. Really hot. It was hot but it did not taste good at all. No flavor. The mild sauce was much better. The salsa I make will light your mouth on fire but it tastes really good too. It's all about getting it right.

Re: How much longer will we have Gasoline for Our
100% truth
this thread has really gone South from the initial topic...... but perhaps we have reached the conclusion that gasoline and moonshine will continue to be available for the foreseeable future....

You are right. Gasoline and Moonshine aren't going anywhere anytime soon. Heck they sell moonshine at the grocery store now. Right next to the place where you can get Marijuana. The only difference is now you pay taxes on it. This EV thing is just a push to scare people into buying new cars and make money. What do you think the annual registration and sales tax are on a $100,000+ Tesla? It's just yet another way to pick the consumers pocket.

I miss squirrel dumplin stew. We used to shoot them, clean them and drop them off with my grandma when I was a kid in VA. She made the magic happen.

Re: How much longer will we have Gasoline for Our
There's a big, brown cloud in the city
And the countryside's a sin The price of life is too high to give up It's gotta come down again The world wide war is over and done And the dream of peace comes true We'll all be drinkin' that free bubble-ubb And eatin' that rainbow stew When they find out how to burn water And the gasoline car is gone When an airplane flies without any fuel And the satellite heats our home But one of these days when the air clears up And the sun comes shinin' through We'll all be drinkin' that free bubble-ubb And eatin' that rainbow stew Eatin' rainbow stew in a silver spoon Underneath that sky of blue We'll all be drinkin' that free bubble-ubb And eatin' that rainbow stew You don't have to get high to get happy Just think about what's in store When people start doin' what they oughta be doin' Then they won't be booin' no more When a President goes through the White House door Does what he says he'll do We'll all be drinkin' that free bubble-ubb And eatin' that rainbow stew Eatin' rainbow stew in a silver spoon Underneath that sky of blue We'll all be drinkin' that free bubble-ubb And eatin' that rainbow stew Eatin' rainbow stew in a silver spoon Underneath that sky of blue We'll all be drinkin' free bubble-ubb And eatin' that rainbow stew Songwriters: Merle Haggard

Talk about thread drift...armadillos can carry Leprosy. I wouldn't eat em, no matter how they were cooked. Hmmm, tasty roadkill, and why is my tongue falling off in pieces?
My dad grew up in rural Minnesota, and loved squirrel gravy.
