Re: Daverods 52

You should have your shop dog register on this forum. There's more pictures of him that of you. Did you teach him to pump your pedal yet.

On the serious side, what kind of shop heater are you using up there in the North Pole?

Re: Daverods 52

Natural gas. HotDwag is the name. I think its about 50,000. Cost about 700. Vented to the outside. Getting cold down there? About 40. And yes Pumping is what my dog does best. Oh ya and when he knocks you down you wont be getting up dry.
I was wrong that was the heater in my last house. This one is a Cayenne. 60000. I like the Hotdwag better. Seemed like it had a better fan. I have a couple extra fans on timers just to kick the air around.

Re: Daverods 52

It's been in the 20's here in the morning. With a dual burner propane one and 1 small and 1 big electric heater gets the shop up to almost 65 degrees. Too costly though. I'd like to get one of those automatic pellet stoves. Too much money for me right now, or ever.

My garage is insulated so once I heat it up it stays warm for a long time. Maybe you could get one of those composting toilets they put off heat.

Re: Daverods 52

luv your rot man, I grew up with rots. Now got a german shepard but wanna get another rot. My friend just got a pallet stove for free, but man is that triple wall piping to run the exhaust is expensive. He estimates about 200 a month in heating on a low setting with it, non insulated garage about 30x40 slightly under. Any luck with the MC bleed, just realized the PITA it looks like to get to that thing. Now that I remember, I did bleed the MC when it was hooked up, the push rod was prolly the problem, when I took it off and bench bled it, problem solved.

Re: Daverods 52

Damn I omly spend 180 to heat my house and my garage. Its a new house insulated well and 95% eff gas. When its 95% you can vent it in plastic pipe because you already sucked all the heat out of it. Oh ya 180 covers my hot water also. I switched to a insta heat tankless heater. I've had 4 rotts in the last few years. Love them. Best dogs made. My dog hangs with me all day so he is very well rounded. He does think hes a tough guy though. If I leave him alone with anyone it just a matter of time till he's showing them he's the alpha male. They usally cry for help. Still messing with the brakes but they stop. There was plenty of room to fill the mc with a big bottle but it would be harder if I had a heater and radio and ducts and gages and stuff.

Cost me $2,200 to insulate my 30X40 shop, and and well worth it. The heat stays in and is a must in summer also. This is my urnal, and bathroom.

I was wondering if it was insulated. Sucks about the bathroom I don't see much heat coming from that pipe, maybe some smell but no heat.

Re: Daverods 52

You need a special power steering pump pulley tool to take it off and put it back on. I have one come on over and lets get it taken off.
This is the one I have.

Re: Daverods 52

Sold my shorty headers for 150 more than I paid. I knew they were a good deal I just wished I could have got them to work. Oh well. I guess the 64 will stay were she's at. I did drive the 52 back and forth in the garage. Putting the new pwr steering pump in today. Hopefully the roads will dry out in the next couple days and I can go for a real drive. 34 today
