And my solar panel almost blowing off in the wind I ended up making it to Larry’s Don’t worry about it we can fix it later after breakfast Thankfully I had a camo hat on Otherwise it would have been ‘ugly’ A guy from California hanging out with a bunch Retired redneck hillbillies from Arkansas Little did they know I know how to use twine and duct tape, too |

Re: Let’s see where the wind blows me
Nice. When I was 16 we had a 15-passenger dodge van just like that (minus the campy thing). I used to give my friends rides home from school. Every one called it the Payne bus. Good memories.

Re: Let’s see where the wind blows me
Love the old dodge van! Looks like beautiful country down there (pics would be even better with a 67-72 in them instead of that silly jeep ). Glad you could meet up with Larry

Eric, if you find yourself in the northern part of Kentucky and need anything or want to stop for a visit, give me a yell.

Re: Let’s see where the wind blows me
Very cool trip but darn it I missed you coming through the mid west! Maybe next time. I really dig the old dodge bread truck/platform truck? Pretty neat! Did other Larry give you a tour of all his hidden gems? I heard he has tunnels full of cool stuff.

The solar panel incident sucks. But it seems like awesome trip. I'm having fun riding along..

Re: Let’s see where the wind blows me
Um, I'm no expert but I wonder if all that duct tape over the solar panel might reduce its effectiveness.

Maybe next time. Definitely a fun time with Larry, family, friends Lots of truck talk as well as many other common interests And a lot of laughs This is when we were crossing one of the rivers yesterday We were gergeling and it smelled like steam when we came out But we were afraid if we didn’t go for it We would have to turn around and back track But would run out of gas |

Re: Let’s see where the wind blows me
One day, I'd love to do a trip like this. Looks like a lot of fun!
Regarding the gas shortages, I've seen several stations in my hour drive to work and back that never ran out of gas, but they have higher prices than most. One of the stations I pass was out since Tuesday, but got a shipment in today as they had a price listed on my way home. That's here in middle GA though, haven't been north of Atlanta since the weekend before the run on the pumps started. Now that everyone has filled up, I'm hoping that there won't be another run on the pumps

No problem getting gas around here, friends have said the same in LA (just the news hyping it up). Sounds like you’re this side of MS River, but be aware a main bridge crossing it on I-40 is closed in Memphis, so avoid that cluster.
