Chevy/GMC C1500/2500 88-91 is in his. You can get the same seat up to 94, but the 92-94 will have adjustable headrests.

Best pass with the old dragtruck:
5.32 @ 131.6 mph 1/8 mile w/ a 1.25 60' Fogger/Plate 2003

Best pass with the street 406 hydraulic roller motor w/ mild plate tuneup
5.93 @ 114 mph 1/8 mile w/ a 1.29 60' 2003 or 2004

Hey SactoJim,

What did you end up doing for your front carpet area where the carpet ends and the Dynomat beging. I'm in the same boat right now and want to find something.

Thanks, Ron

Ron.....the auto parts places around here (Kragen, AutoZone...etc) carry rolls of carpet (actually "felt" like and pretty light duty) that I just cut to fit and glued down to the floor. It's only like $10 a roll and worked great and I also used in on my sub box. Only downside is that there aren't but a few colors available.

When I get in a hurry on my new build, I will have to come back and look at this again because you have some patience and do some VERY nice work.

You're probably tired of hearing this, but killer truck. I love the stance and the wheels...love that you kept the trim and moldings...and I'm really digging the color; it reminds me of "marina blue" from chevelles, camaros, vettes, etc.

Thanks very much!

SacramentoJoe.....I see you cruising around Roseville from time to time, so if some stranger honks at you in a White F150...it's just me.

jb1016.....never get tired of hearing it (who would?)....lot of work went into this thing and I appreciate the "attaboys"! You hit the nail on the head with the Marina Blue......that's why I painted it later model Corvette Blue.

Re: 72 Cheyenne Build Thread

Sactojim,
Did you have any problems with those stamped steel hats? I had my axles turned down and after everythings mounted securely I have 0.050 runout. Wondering if I should use aluminum hats.
Anyway, your truck is a great inspiration!

Though I haven't measured mine, I have a bit of runout as well (side to side). I have about 3,000 miles on it, had it up to 100 mph a few times and no weird vibrations or braking probs.

I'd say just leave it like it is and see how it acts.

Thanks!

Had to get some inspiration and ideas again. It looks freaking beautiful Jim! You even have me thinking about adding a supercharger to mine since it all fits under the hood, and Mama even said I could do it!

Great job!

You have a GORGEOUS creation here! I really admire your stupendous craftsmanship in every detail of your truck. I was thinking of putting a fuel cell in my truck. How is yours working out for you?

Thank you very much!.....as far as the tank goes, I'm very happy with it and it works just perfect with the only drawback being that I have to drop the tailgate everytime I fuel up.....and that's quite often cuz it's kinda thirsty!

Sacto Jim
This is my absolute favorite truck on this forum. I like everything about it, I even borrowed a few ideas for my own truck. (Hope you don't mind) The planning and execution is second to none ,and the quality is superior. I'm sure you've heard this a thousand times, Job Well Done.
