Just started blasting on mine....have some tweaking to do with my blaster. lol And lot's of little holes to fix, but soon I should be priming the bottom I hope. Probably next weekend.

I'd have to look through my thread for the exact number, but over the past 50 years the floor of my cab accumulated in excess of 42 holes...

The resistor showed up today, as well as the helm joint needed for my clutch linkage...

Time to start gathering my brake lines...

Earlier in the day I dropped by a muffler and welding shop in town and picked up a piece of 3/4" steel rod...

...cut to length, 3 &1/2", drilled each end and tapped to 3/8x16 threads...

Thanks Brother!!! Gonna try and get the resistor wired in for the Alternator feed one evening this week, plus run the sensing wire, that will be all the cab and engine wiring complete... next step, finish the clutch linkage and focus on brake lines... will be ordering my fuel tank sender soon, then get this thing road worthy...

Friend of mine lives in Siberia. The weather is a lot cooler right now than here. Lol. But I'll pass on winter there. Brrrrrrrr. But summer seems nice.

Friday was productive...

I was able to get the Alternator wiring complete... and in the process thought, I need to test this one to see if it even works... It was included in the Serpentine belt setup I bought a few years ago... Results......... No work!!! at least I have a core for replacement, as it's the same price to purchase a remanufactured unit with a lifetime warranty as it is to have it rebuilt locally with a 3 month warranty... easy math even for me...

Off today and tomorrow, so why not jump into the Brake lines...

After locating all my parts and pieces, it was off to the parts store to return 2 hoses previously purchased and get the correct one as well as some brake lines complete with fittings...

I was planning on getting a bit further today, but a thunderstorm seemed a good enough reason to find my way to my recliner and vegetate in front of the telly for a bit... also gives Jojo a place to hide from the thunder...

More Brake line work tomorrow, and I may even try to get energetic enough to redo the rear brakes, especially replacing the wheel cylinders...

It funny how dogs are afraid of thunder. My 2 big ol' shepherds hide from storms. Hope the boogie man doesn't make loud thunder sounds.

Always a pleasure chatting mate! due to many Honeydooz and a visit to a friend's new shop no truck time today... I was able to pick up another needed line and also hook up Bret with some brake line part numbers...

Yesterday's feel like temp hovered around 103F and the past week or so has been in the 105 to 115F range, serious motivation killer!!!

Working today and tomorrow with Sunday and Monday off, planning on finishing up Brake plumbing by Monday evening...

Definitely! You get drenched in sweat before you even get to work on the truck! Me and Carson worked on the GTO yesterday, but we took many A/C breaks and drank lots of water. You're making good progress man, it'll be on the road real soon.

Well another job 95% complete...
Spent yesterday and today plumbing the brakes... In-between Thunderstorms...
Started at the back, cleaned up the plungers for the wheel cylinders and installed the new ones in order to run the lines...

Although the last pic doesn't show the completed line connection, it is now complete, Master cylinder to wheel cylinders, still gotta fab a bracket for the rubber line...

Today was the front... that is, after a trip to Little Rock for my wife's routine Doctor appt, then Truck time... As soon as I got the front end up in the air, and climbed under and got the R/side line bent and started getting the tee connected... another quick afternoon T/Storm popped up...

Slowed me down for about an hour, then back after it... All of the hard lines, Front to Rear are plumbed, and ready for bleeding once I get the rotors turned, and the rear shoes replaced... Other than that, I need to secure the lines and finish up protecting the Wiring harness to the rear... Also a good time to mount the Fuel filter and pump back near the tank...

Used a paint can to coil the lines coming from the Proportioning Valve...

Another shot of the tee, I took the line past the tee and looped back to facilitate easier servicing down the road. The tee is right at the back of the crossmember, so hooking the line up from the rear made sense to me...

Caliper in place, waiting on me to modify the end to work with the drop spindle... As it is, the end that bolts to the caliper is bent in a way that will run the rubber hose into the upper ball joint... after turning the rotors, this week, I'll address that mod...
