Re: Severe weather warning

I'm in a bad way fellers. It's freezing rain and snowing.
I've got half a loaf of bread. I bought a jug of milk but it's 3/4 frozen. I've got one brew left and the nearest store is 30 minutes away!

Maybe you'll get snow instead of ice. You're gonna need more firewood.

Pine trees. A heaping wheelbarrow load of split wood every 24 hours.

I think this one will be a little different the last bad incident they had was from temps . They said parts of Texas will get .75 and over in ice accretion. No matter where you are that's crippling.

Re: Severe weather warning

1/4" of ice guaranteed lines will come down. 3/4"? Bad bad news. We're on the top edge of this system, just the fringes of the storm. We got a light dusting of snow overnight

Re: Severe weather warning

Woke up this morning to a light coat of snow on the vehicles but the ground was just wet.

Supposed to be getting cold this weekend. I personally can't wait until it is 70+ degrees again. I'm getting too old for this cold weather.

Still below freezing here with ice. Supposed to be coming to an end here by friday and back to 60 by Monday. Can't wait.

Re: Severe weather warning

R's git slickernyers. But'chall ain'as use to't. Thasaprollum rat thar

All the snow is passing to our south today. 5-10 mph wind. But that storm is bringing on the cold for Friday/Saturday. A couple days of winter. The ground will actually freeze a couple days again. Some growth on the ground hasn't completely gone dormant. I've seen 1/2 drunk flies. A couple weeks ago I had punch drunk yellow jacks attracted to some pine lumber I was milling. First one, then 8-10.

All that dusting melted in the morning. I got home after dark and, as usually happens, I still had patches of white ground still. My place holds onto snow longer than it's surroundings.
