Frequently bought together..... really?
Perusing the web looking for a bead blaster for stubborn tires and came across this. How common can it really be?

Re: Frequently bought together..... really?
Since that is a wash sink, and not a kitchen sink, could be sold a few times per 100. If a garage ordered the blaster and they gave a discount, I could see it happening.

Re: Frequently bought together..... really?
Every time I order a blaster, I order a sink.
But I don't order a blaster every time I order a sink...

That funny.
Maybe that is for washing their, underwear out when the tire blows off the rim. Those air blaster are on Craigslist and MP all the time in this area.

Re: Frequently bought together..... really?
The funny thing about all this "people also bought..." way of pushing product is... I don't give a fat fart what someone else bought. I know what I need and buy what I need, and that has nothing to do with what other people want or need. "Oh, ok. I was also going to buy a better tire iron but this thing says I should buy a sink". Later on when the packages arrive one of my buddies mentions, "Do you even have plumbing in your shop?". Me,"No I don't. They didn't say I needed plumbing to buy a tire blaster"

Re: Frequently bought together..... really?
I did just recently buy a new sink. No one suggested I need a blaster too.

Re: Frequently bought together..... really?
I hate the "Suggested for you' crap. It's usually something that I have no interest in. Pandora is the worst. They'll cut off a song that I'm listening to and put some garbage that their pushing and then it's on my playlist and bumps my stuff off.

Re: Frequently bought together..... really?
I do not like hints to buy what they think I should buy either....
Here is what happened to me couple years ago when our granddaughter was staying with us for a few weeks during the summer.. She was 17 at the time She used my computer to look up things to buy from Amazon for Christmas under my name ... so when I get on Amazon I see it brings up "inspired by me brousing history "and also "Related to items you've viewed" and and also another reminder of 'Pick up where you left off " All these area reminders on Amazon on my computer was showing young womens lingerie... and I tell you not,, it keeps coming back every once in awhile as a reminder to me of what I was looking at...

What's wrong with looking at at women's lingerie? Especially if there's a young woman wearing it. It's got my vote. Hey now!

They go together just fine. When that fancy new sink plugs up, bead blaster to the rescue.

Re: Frequently bought together..... really?
Frequently bought together only annoys me when the other item is not related. What bothers me the most are the "people also bought..." and all the "now trending" crap. Am I supposed to care?? I absolutely hate the newly contrived word "trending". Are people such lemmings they had to invent a new verb for them, trending? Is that what they are now calling having your nose up the one ahead in line's.... You know, like Randolf the brown nose reindeer behind Rudolf. Ran just as fast but couldn't stop as fast
"Let me check what is trending" is the same to me as saying, "I need to check on what I'm supposed to start liking now"

Re: Frequently bought together..... really?
I have learn to use this Algorithm type of pushy sales
and the (Remarketing) and of course the (Cookies) to my advantage sometimes. If I know I am going to purchase a certain item, I will go to several websites and look. Then wait for the Cookies to kick in Then I will go back and search a little bit later and Bam!! I have more Options come up in the search. This idea came from, Hey, I just bought that and Now there is one at a Better Deal Also some websites like Zoro and I think Eastwood does it. I will put something in the cart and close the Tab , Then a few hours later I check my E-mail and You left something behind, Here's a 10% coupon for your purchase expires today

I don't know if this is relevant to the topic or not. But it works both ways. I was selling my old Porsche 914 and a guy shows up with a car trailer and starts trying to get me down on my price. The usual. Well the good lord must have been smiling on me that day because wouldn't you know it a second guy pulls up with a car trailer. First guy said "I'll take it' full price. I love it when that happens. Timing is everything. I still miss that 914 but it just needed too much for me.

Re: Frequently bought together..... really?
I wish my beer store would get with this whole frequently bought together thing. They suggest the lottery tickets, but what about some pretzels or Doritos, or Cheetos?? Or some tater chips at least?. Nope, not even a little thing of peanuts!

There's a bar here. They have a full kitchen and offer no munchies at all. I don't get it. How tough is it to make some Nacho's? It seems to me that they could make some money on snacks.

Re: Frequently bought together..... really?
But back to the original post..... I did order the tank (not this one....I got it from EEEbay for $90) and now wish I had gotten one 20 years ago. Made quick work of the 4 trailer tires. Of course it probably would have been rusted out by now and I would still have had to order a new one.
