Heat stove pipe to air cleaner on a '69?

Did first year Blazers with a 350 4V have the exhaust manifold shielding and a stove pipe to the air cleaner? I know my 70 K10 and my '71 Blazer did, but I am not sure if '69 did. Can't find any Chevy engine brochure that show the engine.

I briefly looked also for some literature, but found nothing.
I did find a 69 from a Barrett auction that claimed only 73k and shows stove pipe?

Been working on this on the truck side: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...49#post8533449

Don't know the definitive answer...but it's likely "some did". Here are two relatively honest looking 69 Blazers, a 307 and a 350. The 307 was very late in the model year. Sold new in August of 69. Built in St. Louis. I have a suspicion that the burgundy one was built in St. Louis too. Neither have a heat stove air cleaner assembly.

Thanks for posting. I had noticed that too. I tend to consider it circumstantial evidence though. I figure that graphic art stuff is done in advance and often images are re-worked versions of older media. Anecdotally, almost all of the examples I've found have been non heat stove. However my brother found this 69 CST today that I would generally consider original and fairly complete and it had non AIR exhaust manifolds and a heat stove breather. Don't know the VIN so no idea about assembly plant or relative time of production. FWIW...

Re: Heat stove pipe to air cleaner on a '69?

I think no one would give you grief either way. This looks like a pre-production Blazer...note the bench seat. Regardless, we know we have examples of 69s with and without. I don't know what the rhyme or reason was to which truck got one and which one didn't. We decided to go without on ours because it's a relatively early truck and I've found documented trucks that are newer without. But date of manufacture may have nothing to do with it. Do what you want and it'll be right. At least we know a little more about this than when we started.

Here's another '69 307 with one. It's also a very late model year truck. See VIN ending in 86XXX. Here's a link to more pics:
