Turn the hose around, you have it backwards. 1.75" connects to the water pump, 1.5" connects to the radiator. But 20843 is for 73-8X trucks. If you want to get the 20843 hose to work on a 67-72 radiator you will have to stretch the rad end (1.5" ID) over the radiator connection which is 1.75". The water pump size never changed on Gen 1 SBC 67-72,,73-87..., BUT the rad connection DID on GM trucks on the 73+ models. 1.75" connects to the water pump, 1.5" end connects to the radiator. I think I mentioned this on your other thread?

Re: Lower Radiator Hose...ARRRGGHH

We have a '67 C-10 with a 350 SBC (1993?). New Champion radiator (upturned lower radiator hose inlet similar to stock 1.5" I think...not straight out like most of this thread is dealing with). Any idea on which lower radiator hoses fit? Many thanks in advance!

Re: Lower Radiator Hose...ARRRGGHH

I know this is an old thread but it was useful to me recently. I found Jeg's 555-52467 to be a great fit for my truck. It fits and doesn't hit the chassis at all. Its supposed to be a direct fit for GM 3947117. I'm not smart enough to figure out the GM part numbers yet but I wanted to pass this along for others.

For reference, I have a 1969 Chevy K20 with a BeCool original fit style radiator and a 454 from a 1978 Chevy truck and a short water pump.
