Cool Got the message!!! Grandfathers 1971 GMC

As many of you know, and have been following this story for the last 12 years. I finally got the reply I was desperately waiting for

We agreed to a price

Folks, I will soon have my grandfathers 1971 GMC Truck that I have spent 12 long years pursuing non stop

Figured I’d update the forum

Will update and make photos and videos of me driving it home soon

Thank you all for the support and advice on it over the years

It’ll be either April or May before I can get it hopefully

I just can’t believe the offer came to the table

It means so much to me to just be able to be offered it

You must feel great reuniting with a long lost part of the family ! I’m sure your grandfather is proud that you cared so much. I would put a picture of him on the dashboard if he’s gone.

Re: Got the message!!! Grandfathers 1971 GMC

I’ll be buying it here soon. Just excited I got offered the truck, and yes. I do think it would be a great story to write up on.

Just wonder if magazines would take it or my local newspapers?

I think it's great you found it , BUT... I'd be getting a deposit to them and a signed contract on when your picking it up before something bad happens and it gets sold before you can pick it up .

It's happened to more than a few of us . it sounds like now is the time to borrow from family or friends and get it done .
