Adding A/C to big block--pulley help

I do not need help with compressor brackets so let us leave that alone.

I've spend 3 hours with 27 different tabs open and am more confused than ever.
Can someone please just tell me what pulley(s) I need different than I what I currently have on the engine right now?

Are they rare and expensive?
Do I need a different water pump?

Thank you

Hello, not sure how much I can help, but please give us more information. What year truck? What size motor? Any other belt driven accessories?

I have a set on the ground that has the added pulleys for AC on the crank. I can go look tomorrow and get you a pic and see if there are any part numbers on the parts.

Water pump is there also, I'll check for a number.

Sorry bout that must have had a brain fart.

1972 3500, 402, only water pump and alternator. No other belt driven items.
Smitty, that'd be greatly appreciated if not too much trouble.

Not a problem. I have a 396 from a 69 on the ground with all the pulleys. Should be able to get you that info in the morning.

I've never seen someone use a tensioner or back-side pulley like that on an old school V belt before. so that makes be feel better because I was thinking of trying that route.

Re: Adding A/C to big block--pulley help

So the wp pulley number for mine is:
3927796 AE Double Groove Pulley

Crank:
3874418BS GM Double Groove Pulley

Add on pulley has the following numbers:
C4051 and C4052-S ACME It adds Two more grooves to the crank

If you PM a phone number I can text you pics. Don't have the time to resize them at the moment.
