Manual throttle on the right side?

So, it seems like all of the manual throttle's I see are on the left side under the light switch... on my 72 CST Blazer it is on the right side under the wiper switch, is that normal?

Re: Manual throttle on the right side?

I wonder if left or right hand side was a buyers choice when purchased new?

Re: Manual throttle on the right side?

The manual throttle knob for 71 and (72) was always on the right. Earlier year trucks made use of a manual choke and that knob was on the left.
