Cool one piece in place of sliders

Any help with info on replacing the side sliding glass with one piece windows would be appreciated.

Thanks

Re: one piece in place of sliders

All the rear side window stuff is the same, just flipped and on opposite sides-the right rear window will fit the front left hole, etc. Same for the sliders, except for the mounting tabs-a MIG can take care of that pretty easily.
If you have four solids, two will fit up front, just flipped and on opposite sides.

Not so- front and rear are different, ever so slightly. Take a CLOSE look and the angles from a side view. There is a post somewhere here that addresses that.

Re: one piece in place of sliders

I dunno, I just know I have all 4 sliders and all four will swap on my 64 burb. I've stacked them up and compared them, and I've temporarily held the solids into the front holes-there seems to be slight differences in all the holes probably due to mass manufacturing-mine has some sloppy lines especially on the roof. Worst case scenario make templates and have the glass cut.

Front and rear are not the same. I made patterns out of 1/8'' plywood to get my glass cut.

That's where I saw it! Thanks Nobby. Until this past year I too thought they interchanged. See post #260 in Nobby's build:

Yup I made templates and the fronts and rears are definitely not the same. Even the gaskets are different.

thanks to everyone

That wasn't directed to you Lucifer, a moderator removed crazyhenry's original post (which IIRC, offered to sell some one piece glass, or something like that) and put in the text referring to this forum's rules.
