Re: Dads 1966 C-10

Talked with dad and he said the front end of ol yellow was leaning towards the right so he installed a new set of coils in the front. It em did up lifting the truck up an inch but the front end is level now

A few more photos. Tailpipes installed now that the bed is on. The radio is being installed now with a nos Blaupunk knobby radio. Bed wood is kinda dusty from the polishing glaze.

Re: Dads 1966 C-10

Front end alignment is done and on the way home my dad hit his first show. Didn’t even wash it off because he didn’t plan on showing it off. Looks good with the whitewalls. Working on getting some white hubcaps to finish it off.

Looks great! Do the hubcaps install just like rally wheel derby caps?

From the pictures above, those are just regular caps that use the 3 or 4 bumps on the wheel center to hold them in, different that rally wheel caps.

Re: Dads 1966 C-10

That is a top shelf build! very well done! I hope and pray mine will turn out half that nice. I found it funny how after he put the wheels and tires on it he decided to go back to stock. I have been slowly, and I mean slowly building my truck. The older I get the more I am changing back to stock. Something about the original look that gets me excited.

Love the truck, tell your dad well done!

Truck looks great! Congrats to your dad and also you for helping to get it together. I have the same type of seat and have seen them installed in few trucks now, seems to be a great fit and easy way to get the 3pt belts.

Re: Dads 1966 C-10

I'm with you there for sure. Power steering with smaller wheel and maybe tilt will be in my plans lol. Also going to remove tank from cab to get as much room as possible.
