Paint roof or not

I called my local glass shop on a whim to check on a windshield for my 72. I was surprised when I was asked questions about tint and installation. They looked it up and quoted me $110, cash and carry.
Now since the truck originally had a white roof and is peeling off around the weatherstrip...looks to be a really thin coat of lacquer.
Should I sand, fill the imperfections, prime and paint it white again...and do the gutter. Sounds like alot to replace the window, what would you do?

Tom
