"perfanisms" I like the sound of that!

Holy crap! Did I just say that out loud?

Re: My 93 Crewcab Build

FastEddie, I'm with you, brother. I have a C&C that I'm gonna use for a ProStreet 454SS clone build. After I tried to figure out some configuration that would allow me to run wider tires, etc. with the stock chassis, I stumbled onto a C&C and I think it solved my problems. According to my preliminary measurements, the rear axle on a SWB should be centered between the two cross braces, giving a perfect spot for coilovers. Here's a pic, taken while I was standing on the gas tank at the back of the chassis.

The front yardstick represents where the axle should be, the T-square is just about where the frame rails will be cut.
As an added bonus, the C&C's have the narrowest of the 14-bolt full floater axles, 4X4 and rock crawler guys love 'em and will pay for 'em. I bought my C&C with a dead engine in it, sold the NV4500 for $350 more than I paid for the entire truck and still have a good roller 350 block. I'm still selling parts off of it, I hope to have enough for rearend narrowing and 4-link parts.
It looks like I'll be able to run the 1-ton front control arms with 1/2 ton spindles, just need to replace the spring, etc.

Re: My 93 Crewcab Build

I've got all the parts to mix and match to build what I want...Just have to find the time...I have a 96 GMC 1 ton 4x4 ext cab 6.5 turbo diesel longbox dually, full load, and a 94 GMC crew cab longbox dually 4x4 454/5speed (the one I want to convert to shortbox narrow dually (without fiberglass fenders) as well as a 93 GMC 1 ton dually reg cab & chassis (34 inch rear frame) with a 6.2 diesel/5 speed 2wd, and a 93 Chevrolet 2wd 1 ton reg cab & chassis (34 inch rear frame) 454/4L80E ....as well as several more 1/2 and 3/4 ton configurations, as well as a couple 'burbans...hopefully the project will get further than paper soon...the truck is going to be a work truck, with a 5th wheel in the bed, as well as a hydralic wheel lift ....will put some before pics up soon

Re: My 93 Crewcab Build

Since I haven't heard of progress on the crew it may be the Ford again!

Hey if it comes down to that you can borrow the Sierra to pull it up there.
