Has anyone ordered the Holley Blackheart Trans-crossmember

Hello,

I know there are quite a few of the Holley hooker blackheart transmission crossmember's (PN 71222024HKR-1) on back order.

Anyone else ordered this unit? If so; When and have you rcvd yet?

Thx

Re: Has anyone ordered the Holley Blackheart Trans-crossmember

Here is an Ebay copy? Or Holley copied them?

https://www.ebay.com/itm/19373958981...Bk9SR8r_0bfBYQ

It's less than half the price and has free shipping I believe it's made in Texas. I used one on my truck. Wish the bolts that retrain it to the frame were 3/8" like the factory. They were clearanced for at least 1/2". That was too big for me. I just used hardened washers and drilled the holes 3/8" any way. I did grind the welds to pretty it up. Otherwise it was fine.
Only issue I had was with the exhaust tucked up that far the E-brake cable rubbed the exhaust.
Cheers

Re: Has anyone ordered the Holley Blackheart Trans-crossmember

I had one of the ebay crossmembers in my '70. Didn't really care for the frame fitment or the e-brake cable interference. I sold it and picked up one from Dirty Dingo. Nice fit and the adjustable height transmission mount helps when dialing in pinion angles.

Speedway has one now too. It might be good, other things I've purchased from them have been.

Re: Has anyone ordered the Holley Blackheart Trans-crossmember

May70 do you need one specifically for a 4L80?

I have one and it is installed with a 4L80, I bought it very early when you had to order a separate spacer for the trans mount. The 4L80 require a 1 inch spacer. I didn't buy the Holley one, I made one from 1" aluminum bar stock.

Seems like you could order any of them they have in stock(after typing this I went and looked and it looks like none are in stock....)

Come to think of it I think I told you this in another thread...

I was hoping to get one that I could just bolt in and not deal with figuring anything out. That's why I liked the entire kit made for the ls/4l80. I did order and receive the spacer already.

Highly likely I tend forget a lot. Now I am finishing up my seat swap project so im ready for the next thing... which is to get a cross member...

Being reminded of these options I may just go with one of these. Don't want to be held up any longer. Was hoping to get a feeler out for other waiting on it.

Re: Has anyone ordered the Holley Blackheart Trans-crossmember

I went with this one for my 4l60...bolted right up no issues. I had to rig up some stuff for my e brake, but I had to tuck my exhaust up high because of the air ride, and that interfered with e brake cables. yours may not.

I've got a G-Force Performance crossmember with a 4L80 on my muscle car. It's the s**t! I know they make them for our C10s but don't have first hand knowledge how the fitment is. You may want to check them out.
