I6 to V8 1960

Been along time since I've posted but am finally getting back to my son's project. Using info. found here we have shortend the lwb box and added a '73-'87. Both those projects are unfinished but are coming along.
My question is this. The pickup originally had a 6 and we have installed a V8. I found a V8 radiator at the wrecking yard to struggling alittle to get it mounted up. I think it came from a later 60-60 (don't remember the year) having a little bit of a time getting the newer rad. into the '60. Any tips or tricks here?
Next, the small block has an alternator and the pickup originally had a generator - I know this is hotrodding 101- but can someone walk me through how to convert the gen. wiring to alternator?
Thanks!

If you got a '63-'66 radiator, it will not mount up in a '60-'62 without adding crossmember to sit it on and adding the top support. The '60-'62 radiator will have flanges on both sides to bolt directly to the radiator support. Also a '60-'62 radiator will have the inlet in the middle of the top tank.

Re: I6 to V8 1960

Just found the FAQ that should cover my alternator question - thanks for not flaming me for asking a question that has been covered so extensively already
