Column shift steering column?

I need to replace my steering column because it's really loose in the middle and wobbly (was that way when I bought it). I've been looking around but the descriptions on most of the popular sites are written somewhat confusingly (at least to me). A lot of them seem to say column shift 3 or 4 speed automatic, but I need the three-on-the-tree column shift. Any recommendations?

Before you replace, you may want to check if the four screws hat hold everything to the tube are not just loose. If it is a tilt column it will be more work but its not that bad. Basically you have to completely disassemble everything to get to those four screws though.

Thanks for the advice, but it needs to be replaced regardless. I don't know how, but the threads on the nut that hold the steering wheel on are almost completely gone so a good yank will pull the wheel completely off the column.
