Need pictures for disc brakes.

I have a '71disc brake setup on my 69. It came with no brake calipers. While looking for brake calipers I was asked bracketed or non bracketed. How do I know which one I need. The spindle only has two holes for the attachment of the caliber. Or is it for the bracket? Thanks.

Re: Need pictures for disc brakes.

That's a rookie parts guy question....
Most late model vehicles have a bracket that bolts to the spindle, THEN the caliper bolts to the bracket.

Yours is NON bracketed, NO DOUBT!!! No picture needed!!!

Thumbs up Re: Need pictures for disc brakes.

Correct, no brackets for stock 71/ 72 spindles and disc brakes.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

All the information posted by these guys is totally correct.. '71s don't have brackets, never did.. My suggestion to you is -- shop somewhere else for those calipers.. The chances of you getting the wrong parts from the place that asked that question are about 98.99%...
