Well, it's together now. I have a friend that has the correct black sealer that goes on the housing where the lines come out. I'm getting it from him tomorrow.
Enjoy the pics... More to come!

Re: 2 Projects 72 GMC “MISS REPRESENTED” and 68 Chevy “The Board Build”

I also got a load of stuff back from the blaster today.
This place is amazing... Here is what I got done for $50!
SWB steel floor
Wheel tubs
3- 15x8 1/4 8lug rims
2-- 15x8 5 lug rims
1. A/C dash
Brake and fuel lines
They were dropped off yesterday and picked up on my way home today!
Here's a pic of the wheels.
*just noticed the wheel weights were still on the rim. Lol I was so happy I didn't notice it.

The orange truck is out for paint! Well the body is...
I'm hoping to have it back in a month or so! Lol
I guess it will give me some time to clean the place up a little.
I can't wait to get a barn... this orange trucks sale will be a long way towards that reality.

Last update tonight!
The orange truck chassis got a present from the "brown guy" today!
Inner and outer tie rods. Yeah, no more pushing it around with no steering.
I'll have these detailed and installed this weekend.

When you say "barn" what do you mean exactly, a shop style metal building?

Im currently waiting for a company tearing down a building on base (where I work) to sell me a truckload of 10"X10"X25' laminated timbers. The date for demo has been moved 12 months already so there is nothing I can do about that. The building is 320'X850', all wood framed and even the perlins are wood (5' tall at that)! The vertical supports across the width are 13"X13"X25'. For the price im getting them for I want to frame the building with these and will order custom trusses.
Building will be approx. 40'X80'X16' with a 20' overhang on the end with heated floors throughout the bldg. I need it to house my camper, boat and an outdoor kitchen, inside bathroom and family room and of course some space for my trucks.
It would have to have 5 doors on the front and 2 on the rear for driving the camper and boat through to drop em off after use.
I have a quote for a metal building but I didnt like the cost for the view I want to match the house. I cant afford a BigDaddyO "Barnasaursus" so I gotta find a way to save some money on it.
Heres a pic of the overlay I made of the lights I want. It will give you an idea of what I want for a layout and a picture of my house. Its new so please excuse the front yard work.

Id like to think its appropriate for the space! LOL
I refuse to scale anymore to save on cost.
Just need to save and figure out how to get it done.
Its going to happen I was hoping it would happen before winter but thats out of the question for this year, maybe spring. That gives me more time to save too.

Take the alt to auto zone and see if there is something wrong with it. If there is, ill get an extra one I have checked and send it to you. Please make sure if yours is good or not first. Let me know where the closest auto zone or O'Rileys is to your home address.

Here is a pic of the box. Not sure it's absolutely correct but my friend uses this stuff when he does ac boxes. I keep it in the garage fridge since this stuff gets VERY soft when at room temp. I'll load another picture of the product in the next pic.

Re: 2 Projects 72 GMC “MISS REPRESENTED” and 68 Chevy “The Board Build”

Here is the actual product.
There is 60 -1' long strips. I didn't need nearly as many as that but I'll be able to do maybe 3 or 4 more boxes. Knowing me, I'll do another box and give another local guy enough to do theirs.

Hey Mike,

You are doing some excellent work there. Looking forward to seeing the Broze truck finished. Good luck with the barn project when it gets going. I would hope to someday have half that size to work in

Keep up the good work
Take care,
Tom

Thanks Tom,
It's not easy getting things done with 2 girls at separate colleges doing separate sports. Got sick this weekend and am just getting over it.
Looks like the bldg will have to be a springtime plan. That gives me time to get 2 trucks done to sell 'em and some money in the bank for the building.
I have 13 clusters packaged and ready to ship your way this week.

Mike, I hope you get well soon and I know the feeling. Life gets busy for us for sure. I am on the last day of travel and currently in Oregon so I will be getting ready to get some clusters built soon. I have everything I need to build your tach cluster with the exception of time . No worries, will get you done before long.

Take care of yourself,
Tom
