Nice work, you have to have a steady hand for that.

Thanks! I am really happy with it. The guy that did the stripes has been pinstriping for 38 years. He's amazing, his name is Tom VanNortwick.

The PO used the wrong tailgate, I don't want to draw too much attention to that.

And here is a drive by in front of my house. I hadn't seen it rolling since I lowered it so I had Stacey drive it by while I recorded from the driveway.

Thanks, I really like the colors too. The orange pops against the blue. I told him he could use any color but pink...

Awesome videos - thanks for sharing!

Truck really turned out great...the roll-by video showed it off good!

What do you have planned for a rear bumper?

Digging that retro looking front plate too.

Thank you. Christiansburg is nice. I lived in Norfolk for a little while, I like all the bridges and tunnels out your way. We are headed to VA Beach for vacation this summer.

Thanks for the kind words. I have a chrome sport bumper on the way, hoping to get it next week.

Here is Tom's website for anyone interested - definitely does some nice work:

Also, where did you get your Boyd wheels from?

Hey, do you know him or did you do some research?

I have had those wheels in storage for about 12 years. I originally bought them for a '92 Silverado I had. When I got the '79 a few months back I was happy to be able to put them back to use. They are a very rare design though, they were only sold through one vendor - and they went under years ago. It makes them pretty rare, I have only seen two other sets on the internet. You can't buy them from Boyds. The design is called 'Scorpio'. I didn't love them on the OBS, but I think they look GREAT on the squarebody.

Re: Just some pinstriping pics

Here are the wheels. I polished them up after 12 years of dust and bug poop had collected on them.

Just did some quick online research. Hadn't heard of him before, but have always appreciated a good pin stripper.

Awesome backstory on the wheels - I also agree that they look GREAT on the C10 too! They cleaned up really well too - good thing you kept them for the past 12 years!

You're not kidding, those seem like a very limited (rare) Boyd model.

Saw this link online after you mentioned the name of them:
