Car ad classics

Craigslist is always chock-full of car goof hilarity! Some of my faves:

"New cadillac converters"

"Original miles" -what, as opposed to replacement miles?!?

"12 volt rear end"

"ready to restore" -lololol

"ready for paint" -just dusted with rattle-can primer

"Rare"

"Camero"

"Heathers" -did you mean 'headers'?

"Mustang, built in late '65, registered as a '66" -maybe he's too young to remember the new cars coming out in September or so....

"Cummings diesel"

"stall converter"

"posse rear" -round 'em up!

I'm sure there's a bunch more that I'm not thinking of right now....

Re: Car ad classics

"Rust free!" - and lots of it, but at least it's free if you buy the vehicle.

Ugh... Camero. It's Written ON THE CAR!!!

One owner... I mean I bought it from the original owner...

350 engine when it's a 307/305/junk whatever.

Search CL for "custom" and you will no doubt find some solid gold.

Re: Car ad classics

From the local ad paper "3/4 ton, V-8, 3 speed on floor with extra groundhog gear" I have heard granny gear, bulldog gear, compound low, but groundhog was a new one on me. Thanks, Lyman.

Re: Car ad classics

New Breaks...... seriously?? Is that why you are selling it because it has new break downs?

Years ago I went with a friend of mine to look at a 57 Chevy convertable (really) and it was actually a 57 4 door wagon..!!! How can you mistake that.??

Re: Car ad classics

Has Disk Breaks!

A/C just needs to be recharged to work!

Ran when parked (27 years ago)

Runs great! (then why does truck have 3 foot high tall weeds around it in photo?)

It "only needs"... blah... to run/drive/be legal, whatever.

I don't have to sale it.

Re: Car ad classics

Lately the local CL is full of,"I have video of it running but it's out of the car." I always wonder if they understand,I don't know it's the same engine,I don't think their audio is very good and for sure if I don't see and hear it run,I'm not giving more than scrap price for it.

Re: Car ad classics

I cannot stand when their posted pic is of "Looks like this" or "Same truck as this", Why can't you just take a pic of what your selling?. Or the super blurry cell phone pics. Geez, do these people even proof read or look at their add after posting?
