Re: Dual headlights ??

i just took the whole core support dual headlights and all and the wiring harness unbolted the core support leaving the original fenders on put in the dual headlights and wiring harness and its done, everything plugs/bolts right in but that was from a 91 to a 91 front end i think they will do the same on an 80 not 100% sure

Re: Dual headlights ??

1980 models did not offer a dual headlamp option. Are you wanting to go from a 1980 to a 1981 and up look? If that's the case, you need the entire front clip. That would include the bumper and brackets, loaded support (with grille etc), grille filler, fenders, hood and hinges, cowl panel, wipers and linkage. Then you'd still have to modify your cab.

Re: Dual headlights ??

A core support from a 1981 and up will not fit in your 1980 and you still be able to use your existing 1980 sheet metal. 1973-1980 model trucks did not offer a 4 headlamp option, that started in 1981 with the "new body style".

Re: Dual headlights ??

IMHO, 1980 Silverado is the best headlight design in 73-87 trucks--old fenders with square headlights. i love the old frontends...

Re: Dual headlights ??

truckfan: the 80 model silverado front end look is for sure unique compared to any other year. The non silverado packages had the same old round eye, not the square lamps, making the square lamp look very note worthy.

elvis: huh?

Yes, you can swap from the lower level round headlight to the Silverado single square.
