Bracket Questuions

I posted better pictures in a post below.

I'm working on my 69 C10- 350 engine, hedman headers, short water pump, power steering and adding A/C from Cold Air.

I need some bracket help:
1) top left picture I presume this is the correct power steering bracket.
2) bottom left is all the other brackets I have. Again I presume the bracket on the right and the bottom are correct alternator brackets. The alternator that was on the truck the base where the long bolt goes through is as wide as the bracket- so it doesn't fit. I checked an alternator at the parts store and the bottom bolt hole is 2" wide. Are these the correct alternator brackets?
3) to right picture is the brackets for the alternator from Cold Aid. The top right bracket in the picture will not bolt to the headers unless I notch to clear the first tube. Do I need to uses these brackets or will original style brackets work with the power steering and adding A/C?
4) If the bracket in the top left picture is correct for the P/S then I need to find the bracket circled in the picture.

Am I missing something here? This is a little confusing for me today.

Thanks
Larry

Re: Bracket Questuions

Pics are way small, but if your trying to mix upper right with lower left it may not work.
I used these from Alan Grove for both headers and exhaust manifolds, all short water pump.
132R - A.C.
232L - Alt.
400L - P.S.

Re: Bracket Questuions

Looks like your trying to use a #213L alan grove and are missing a spacer at the header:

Re: Bracket Questuions

I apologize for the small pictures, hopefully these are better
I have the Alan Grove brackets for both the alternator and power steering and didn't read the directions about the spaces (which I am sure are in the bolt bag in the box).
What I was trying to determine was if the 3 brackets that are GM brackets are the correct brackets for the alternator. Then determine which ones I use on it. Since it was a non-ac truck I will use the Alan Grove on the compressor.
As to the power steering if the bracket bolted to the block is correct, then all I would need for the ps is the bracket circled in the diagram page. Am I correct

I didn't mean to be confusing, today the brain didn't want to think right.

Thanks

Re: Bracket Questuions

I don't know without conducting a search. However I think your Alan Grove bracket isn't right for those headers. May have to modify the bracket at the header even with the spacers.

Re: Bracket Questuions

Rocknrod- you are correct.
I did a quick mockup today and as you can see it will not work without notching and the same will go for the AC side.
I'm going to call Alan Grove tomorrow and see what he suggest. Original brackets should work for the P/S and alternator, but I need a solution for the AC.

See post 3 above for a short bracket set that works.
And good luck going forward.

Re: Bracket Questuions

If you are using the short water pump and the factory Alt and PS brackets then you'll need the AC mount for the Passenger side. Not what you are showing in post 7

Re: Bracket Questuions

Talked to Alan Grove.
Wrong brackets for those headers, suggested a different set- 132R & 232L to fix the problem.
Just have to drill and tap one hole on passengers side to mount AC bracket.
Old Air is swapping brackets for me.

All I need is to find the original bottom bracket for the P/S.

Thanks for the help.

Re: Bracket Questuions

Looks like you have the brackets according to the pics. Upper left is the PS and the other 2 are the alt
