4L80 controllers - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I have traded a bunch of engine parts with money on top for a nicely built stage 3 maybe 4L80 with a 2800 rpm converter. Because it would not fit with out extensive firewall mods in a street/strip car.

So as this was in the works anyways, and I was 1/2 way looking for a core.

I want, but I am deciding on how much I want. The Holley terminator stealth tbi with trams control option. Holley says I can run the controller with out the TBI with just a test switch on my 750, and run the 4L80 no problem.

But if I do not go that route for what ever B.S. reason I come up with. Such as in my insatiable carburetor lust, and desires of a bad a$$ Q-jet again.

What stand alone system have any of you guys played with, and do you have favorites?
