Looking to upgrade my V Belt system to a serpentine setup. Seems like every one that I see has the newer Sanden style compressor. I currently have the pancake style. Is it a direct bolt up to switch to the Sanden? Or can I just purchase the 6-groove belt pancake style?

The compressor is just a pump. It does not really matter to the system which kind of compressor you use. I doubt you will find a serpentine system that retains the pancake compressor unless you use factory parts.
