V8 Motor mounts

Switching out the straight 6 for a V8 small block.

What are the best motor mounts to use?

Anything else that I should be aware of as far as the swap?

Thanks

Re: V8 Motor mounts

I just installed a 327 in place of the original 250 6. I used the same mounts.

Re: V8 Motor mounts

There is no need to change anything unless your I6 was a 292. If your I6 was a 230/250, the small block just drops in the exact same place with the same engine mounts. That is how/where GM originally installed them.

Re: V8 Motor mounts

IF you are replacing with NEW mounts you might consider poly mounts they last a life time

a lot of those old rubber mounts have been around for 50 years. that is pretty good service.
