4wd Throttle Cable?

Is this the correct routing and bracket for a 72 four-wheel-drive with a two barrel carburetor. i've never noticed or seen this before how it winds around the back of the distributor before it goes to the carburetor.

No I don't think so. At least mines a 4bbl and isn't like that. I bet you've got a 2wd cable. The 4x4 cable is shorter.

Re: 4wd Throttle Cable?

It's the accelerator cable. I was just curious if it was correct for two barrel carb. Didn't make sense to me why they would loop it all the way around but someone went to a lot of trouble to mount a bracket to do it.

Re: 4wd Throttle Cable?

4 wheel drive cable is shorter. My 72 C-10 has the 350 engine mounted in the rear holes of the frame (6 cyl position) And I used the 4 wd cable for my application...fits & works good.
