Some repair advice?

Just curious if this hood is worth repairing.
Maybe I should just look for a new one?

If you guys were to attempt a repair like this, how would you go about it? Completely cut out and rebuild from steel?

Re: Some repair advice?

If I decide to fix the hood that's on my truck now instead of dropping some hefty coin on a new one, I'll be getting the whole front patch panel and fix it that way. You might be able to fix that one section, but another will probably show up at some point

Oh, wow. I just looked in the Truck Shop catalog; didn’t know they sell these.
Awesome.
Thanks!

So, I take it, the old piece must be cut out, and the new one welded in.
Correct?

Re: Some repair advice?

Yes, cut old, rusty junk out, weld in new. There's some good youtube videos out there about fixing them
