1957 10100 Task Master - Info needed

Hey everyone,

I have a 1957 Task Master with a 322 and the double drive shaft tandem axles, I would like to get a little more info and was hoping that you could help?

Not sure what information you're after but this info packet has a lot of great data in it to get familiar with the 1957 trucks.

Thank you, I will take a look. I was also looking at seeing if there are other trucks out there I could use for reference. I have never seen one like this and wanted to see how many others have been around one or have one.

Hy mbuchli, there is another similar tandem owned by an A.T.H.S. member, it has a 322 Buick engine as well and it also has the Powermatic automatic transmission. A rare truck to be sure, I have a 1957 Chevrolet 8700 tandem, but it only has a 283 in it. Good luck with yours.

Thank you Bob for the info! Mine is a manual trans with a brownie behind it. I would love to see pics of your 8700!

Hy mbuchli, are you sure your tandem has a brownie, or are you thinking of the power divider? One input from the transmission, two outputs to the two differentials.

it could be the power divider vs. brownie. I didn't inspect it closely when we pulled it from where it has been resting for almost 40 years.
