2.5/4 drop. Pics please

Thinking of doing a 2.5"/4" drop but curious what it looks like. Also is it still a pretty good ride? I like the slammed look but had the stiff ride. Had a focus with a h&r cup kit that looked cool but the ride sucked.

My truck has a 2.5/4 drop. The picture above has 235/60R15 tires.
So if you add the tires, the drop is more like 5/7". Checkout my webpage for post drop kit installation.

my truck is lowered around 6-7 and it ride's nice 3" spindles and springs, with a flip kit and removed leaf springs except it drags the lower controls on bad roads the frame drags on speed bumps, but I would go with a 4-6 it's low but not to low

Eighty-6 , the truck looks good with those wheels . What are the specs and are those the Boss338's?
Here is my old tan truck . It is a 2.5/4 using spindles in the front and drop leafs in the rear . 18 inch wheels and it rode nice .

It was lowered with spindles and drop leaves. I believe it has the same parts as f.monroe's.

Here's mine... 2.5" spindles, shackles and hangers with 17x8 (245/50/17) and 17x9.5 (275/50/17)... It still has the Big 10 leaf springs, but will soon have standard light duty models to make it have a little less rake...

Here is the same drop with 17x8's and 255/55/17's all around...

Yes, I think I'm going to keep it... I had just lost interest in it for a couple months, but now am thinking about revising it for the summer... Thanks for the compliments.

All of them... I actually have a set of Rally's with Radial T/A's, Cragars with Radial T/A's, the Torq Thrusts and the Eagles... The Eagles are currently on my 88 Suburban and the Torq Thrusts are on the 84.

Re: 2.5/4 drop. Pics please

More info: Hi Chevymotocross,
Did you see all my pictures on http://www.geocities.com/abetterchem...it/dropkit.htm The tires in the photos are 235/60R15.

Here is one photo with 255/60R15 all the way around.

The passenger side rear sits 1" higher than the driverside. I hope it levels out once I install lowering leafs and clean up the rear. I don't have any other recent photos. I'll take some later this week. I now have matching 255/60R15 all the way around. The front has 1.5 coil and 2.5 spindal. The rear is a 4" hanger and shackel combo.

That post/thread was made in the Spring of 2009 in case you didn't notice.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

And Your Point? You all spend so much time scolding us for not checking existing threads, and yet you reply like that. Hypocrisy seems to run rampant in these forums. I would rather post on an old thread then get made fun of and scolded by members like you for starting a new thread. Thank you captain obvious.

You jump to comclusions. Not every person that makes their first post realizes the threads age.

No one is scolding anyone. I merely pointed out the fact that the thread was 13yrs old. You seem bitter about something??

My point was maybe research the specific member you're asking for info to see when they were on here last (not everyone is still around after 13yrs).

Beyond that, if you took a minute to research me, there's zero hypocrisy nor bullying/name calling done by me. I'm not sure who "you all" applies to but I'm a long standing member here to help fellow enthusiasts.

Try not to judge someone before having your facts straight.

Thank you for your response, I will seek the info elsewhere. So far this site has been very unfruitful. And for your info, I have had luck with these old posts. Regardless of the age of the post. Thank you for your concern and pointing out the old post. Better to seek out assistance within my local area and on the actual square body sites. Not upset with you SCOTI, and I apologize as just frustrated with past treatment on this forum. Too many opinions and derogatory comments ( again not you). Have an excellent day. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/i...lies/metal.gif

No worries here. You tagging in on the thread was not a bad idea @ all. Sometimes bringing the older stuff back revitalizes the specific/target info you might be seeking & gets updated info + pics in the process.

I encourage you to stick around. There's a wealth of knowledge here & the quality of the members willing to help surpasses that knowledge.

in general.. I agree...... I encourage you to stick around. There's a wealth of knowledge here & the quality of the members willing to help surpasses that knowledge. I can also understand the other point, in today's time, enthusiasts are posting more on social media & adding info on there as opposed to on this forum - for example. I am "ol' school" and do not have a social media presence and get "heckled" at local events for not knowing someone's IG name.. !! I do hope that you will give this site a second look and time to go thru some threads - old and new, there really is a wealth of knowledge on here & some pretty famous builds as well.
in any case we wish you luck and hope you find what you are looking for
