Cast Iron Bellhousing
Hi:
Do all cast iron bellhousings from chevy cars and trucks (or at least the ones which accept 168 teeth flywheel) accept 11" clutch set? Is there a cast iron (perhaps mid 50 trucks) which accept 12" clutch? Finally, is there a place which explains the chevy bellhousings? Thanks

Re: Cast Iron Bellhousing
I've seen all the way to a 14" clutch in a Chevy truck bell housing, depending on the weight capacity of the truck. What do you mean by, "explain the Chevy bellhousings"?

Re: Cast Iron Bellhousing
Thanks.
I meant to explain the year, the casting number and the car or trucks that the bellhousing came with and perhaps more specs such as what size flywheel and clutch set they accept. I am looking for a bellhousing which can accept 168 teeth flywheel and 12" clutch. Of course i don't want to drop $700-800 for aftermarket one.

Re: Cast Iron Bellhousing
Sorry, I'm no help as I've never owned one. But they sure do catch my eye when I'm out walking around.
