Re: A Few questions

Three point belts for sure. Got mine from Tom Korinek and have been very happy with them. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=657298

You would need a 67 68 bench to tilt forward

Several vendors sell on this site sell quality 3 point seat belts

I put an OEM shortened tilt bought it from member 70shortfleet very high quality .

I bought a Mar-k kit from Summit . Even with Mar-k's 20 off it was cheaper paying full boat because Mar-k shipping is very high. Summit was a flat $50.

Re: A Few questions

I also agree with 3 point seat belts. Got mine from Seatbeltplanet.com. I also got a rebuilt GM tilt column from Les/70shortfleet. It's much better than the new CPP tilt column it replaced. My Blazer gas tank and sending unit are from LMC, located where the spare tire carrier is located. There are several good threads with different ideas on tank relocation depending on where you want the filler located.

Re: A Few questions

Seat belts are still on my list so all I can speak to are:

Bed wood and strips from Mar K. You can order from them or summit. I ordered my bed wood kit when it was on sale and beat summit pricing a bit.

Boyd’s tank for rear. There are cheaper options but mine went in with zero issues.

Re: A Few questions

Seems that I read that the later non-folding seats could be made to fold forward by removing the higher flat head bolts (from the back frame) and loosening the lower ones. This would allow it to pivot a the lower bolt. This scenario would not have a latch and the seat back would come forward in a panic braking situation AND the upholstery would have to be done such that it accommodated the movement of the back where it would now hinge.

It would be possible to modify a later seat to fold forward like a 67 seat. See the link for more information on the differences in the seat frames. Post 7 has some good links with additional photos. With a welder and some ingenuity it wouldn't be hard to modify. Removing the upholstery then reinstalling it would likely be the hardest part. (For me anyway.)
There may be "how to do" post here on the forums which you might be able to find if you spend some time searching.
