Here is the set-up I was toying with. It was too gaudy for my tastes and the weight of the hood was far to much, it was bending the core support. I went back to the stock hinges instead and ditched the forward tilt concept.

nice work man, at first I wasn't sure if I like the idea about the tandem axle. But thats going to be a cool ride! I like the two tone color also.

Came to the thread over in the suspension section for the front crossmember. Kept reading for the interesting ideas, And im here to see how something that sounds so rediculous can look soo awesome, Awesome job so far. can't wait to see that bed and those fenders with a lil paint on them. any thoughts tward extending the fender down inbetween the two rear wheels?

I know you wont believe me, but I swear I have not forgotten this project. In the past year I've built a motorcycle from the ground up that fell in my lap, and also completely built a Jeep YJ for my soon to be 16 year old son. The idea now is once July gets here and he's driving, I can get back to work on MY 66.
