TMI Seats

Has anyone put TMI bench or other TMI products in your TF? Wondering how you like it, etc.

Cheers, Jim

Re: TMI Seats

Great looking seats that in the long run probably equal the cost of having a custom seat done at a quality trim shop.

The thing I am not actually liking is the "universal" width/fit. For that price I'd expect an exact bolt in fit. That I would want to do some asking on.

Re: TMI Seats

They actually have a 55" bench seat specifically for TF trucks, as well as other models.

Re: TMI Seats

I looked at their Pro Series low back seats for my 49 but by the time I got them delivered it was going to be a couple grand. Just couldn't justify paying that much for a couple bucket seats. They are nice looking seats though. Don't know about the quality.

Re: TMI Seats

I have used wiseguys.com seats in 2 of my streetrods and love em both, also good people to work with. Tea seats are nice but they don't hit me right, friend has them in a 36 and I just couldn't get comfortable in them.

Re: TMI Seats

I may be "shoveling sand against the tide" of opinion here but I just used the stock 1955 seat. I had it sandblasted and powder coated, replaced the springs with a plywood backer and the upholsterer used modern foam to give it a more modern and comfortable shape.

I've been VERY pleased with it. Of course it bolts right into it's original location and it doesnt LOOK like the stock, sort of over stuffed factory bench.

Dan ! That seat looks killer. That is what I am going to do with my 55.2 seat.
