I'd recommend leaving the doors on to get rockers started to get gaps correct. Been there and regretted it.

Re: Rust repair has commenced

Its coming along. Passenger side is almost done. The rust free clip I was going to go get was a bust. Gess my definition of rust free is different then others. Lol was better then what I got to be fair. Orded new frount fenders inner fenders and battery tray from amd. I gess I was not clear I'm not doing the work. Wish I could but I dont have the equipment or experience to do so. Some day I would love to learn.

Re: Rust repair has commenced

For those who are about to tackle this I found Milkcrate u-tube videos really good and in depth. Quite a few videos on his build. Here is one of his videos and all the rest pop up on the side scene. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EeukObGt1Us This one is part 5

Re: Rust repair has commenced

Looking good.

Have you had the plastic Guard off on the front of that fuel tank?

They are a Dirt collector.

I pulled one off of a truck I purchased and It was pitted with rust beyond repair.

Not to the extent that you are, but been welding up some patches on doors this week myself. Trying to retain as much af the paint as possible, plus getting one of my daughters involved.

They have bean off before. New tanks a while ago. Probably a good idea to take the off again though.
