Best place to buy a houndstooth bench seat cover these days?

Working on a 71 C10, I'm looking for quality over price.. But for all I know they're all the same covers. Appreciate any input.

Thanks

Re: Best place to buy a houndstooth bench seat cover these days?

I want a B&W houndstooth seat cover for my truck, as the brocade(?) black vinyl is hotter than the brazed hinges of hell in the summer time. I'm interested to see what people come up with, in response to your question.

You might shoot SoCoC10 a PM, he was selling houndstooth covers made by the guy that made the truck world covers. I got a couple from him ... super nice. But it has been awhile.

Near as I can tell the best place is SMS, because they have the exact material for 71-72. I was surprised they have it. Bring money though, runs $165 a yard for the hounds tooth & $85 for vinyl. I was going to have the local upholstery shop make it, but we're taking a chance on SMS doing it for $875

I ordered mine from Classic Parts about 2 years ago as at the time it was the only place I could find that had blue with blue/black houndstooth in stock/short wait anywhere. It was a PUI Cover and its a decent piece. Its doing its job while I assemble factory sport buckets for my truck.

That looks really nice. It exactly what I'm wanting to put in my blue '68. I wish you were closer, we could probably make a deal once your buckets are done.

71shortbed402, How did that seat cover turn out that you ordered from SMS? I too am looking for exact original houndstooth cover. I need one for 72 Cheyenne super in blue. They quoted me about the same cost, wondering whether to pay the extra.

It's looks fantastic, the material is identical original. Fit is pending, if only the guy who's repairing the seat and installing the cover would call
