Re: '72 C/10 Custom Cruiser Project

Update time. Been getting ready for the Nats this weekend so i did some semi- experimental paintwork on the roof. i thought it looked silly with black and white and rust so i masked and bombed it black, and threw the paint divider stainless back on, i think it looks ok for now

Also did something that i have been wanting to do for a while, with a lot of help from my mom, she had the patience to sit down and mask it all. I Painted the letters on the Tailgate!. i think they look good in orange. ill take a full shot when i get it on tomorrow.

Thanks for looking, See ya tomorrow

Got my gauges in... still working on wiring them up.

I helped my dad with an electrical job at this hunting cabin. its pretty nice for a cabin! i saw it as he perfect opportunity for a photo shoot.

Thanks for dopping in John!, yeah I'm 17 now, 18 in march graduating in 2012

Ive been subscribed to your build since i joined the board!

its hard to tell the exact weight difference since my old gate was filled with mud, but i'd say that the original one is a bit Heaver (thicker) than the repro. its still a good gate though

Re: '72 C/10 Custom Cruiser Project

I think is about time to bring this thread into the new year, so here we go...

First on the list: ACE Chevrolet dealer tags from Sharpie.
there is some grey (primer?) on them but they should clean up nice.

Next, a Package of Parchment goodness. Door panels, seat belts and visors all from Randy (teeitup).

Before cleaning:

Visors and belts. (the new armrests are from Chris (badboy007))

Some pics of the belts:

And a before shot:

After: They still have a few stains here and there, but all in all a big transformation, the look better in person though, the camera kept catching weird shadows.

i did some light cleaning on the panels, and my mom is now working on getting all of the dirt out of the crevices. She loves doing this stuff

More pics when the door panels are done and the dealer tags are SHINY
