Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

Re: Oh Man; second wind on project. I gots me some paint!

I got a bit slow so I sent her to a mechanic friend to keep at least some progress forward. Currently, she's getting the brake and hydroboost all mounted and plumbed to the steering box, intercooler plumbed and mounted, rotors and rear axles swapped out to 5 lug, he wanted to change the fuel tank to a Camaro style so as to not have to cut any holes in the "pretty" bed floor (it's a license plate fill now), I bought a new nu-vintage cluster kit, isolated a few more air line leaks in the bag system lines, and now she's being measured and fitted for new shoes. Test fitted the rear to make sure it would clear the outer fender (no issues inward with the 16" tubs) then ordered the rest of the rubber. Waiting on one more tire to arrive then I'll drop them off early this week. She'll finally look like she's supposed to. Oh, and I installed the front a rear windows myself. Without the stainless trim, it was actually pretty easy.

Re: Oh Man; second wind on project. I gots me some paint!

thank you. My hope is to be driving her by early spring and then after a few thousand miles locally, make the trip to Waxahatchie in the fall. We'll see how it goes!

here is a pic of the original short bed as I got it. Also didn't like the gray door tops and the painter gave me the left over paint. I tried my hand even using pearl clear and it turned out great.
