Billet Hood Hinge

Can anyone give me some pointer on billet struts. I have never use billet struts until now and I can't understand why they want support my 69 hood can the struts be bad are they adjustable? any help would be great

First, what brand of hood hinges do you have? Second, what style of hood do you have?

Some brands offer different struts for different hoods...stock steal, cowl hood, fiberglass, etc., and cowl hoods weigh more based on the height of the cowl.

Also, a pic would be good to post.
