Prices of our trucks at BJ Scottsdale

Values continue to climb at the big auctions.
The higher quality builds obviously command more money.
Correctly done LS swaps add value too.
These are some that sold through Thursday.
Had fun hanging out with Chevyland!

.

Man oh man...216k for a OJ Bronco! Those TAs must have been over the top restorations or resto-mods to bring those prices. Let alone the C10s Jeez.

The TA’s were stock restorations- LS would have added another 50K

Holy cow! Even if I won the lottery and lost my mind, I wouldn't pay that kind of money!

Re: Prices of our trucks at BJ Scottsdale

I think BJ Scottsdale brings more money, but I like the process of Bring a Trailer better. Unless you can physically be at the auction, it seems like BaT gives buyers better info, an interactive process and more time to consider a vehicle. At this weeks BJ, some of the K trucks that brought less money were my favorites. Not a fan of the 4,6 and 8 inch lifts. The white Jimmy may be the only one in the photos with no lift.

This is why the average Joe cannot afford to buy a “classic” vehicle today. Makes me sick.

My take on BJ and the likes of similar auctions is... it's one rich individual showing the next rich individual, that I have more disposable/play income than you do. Just my opinion, there is no justification for these prices.

WOW,unreal money?way out my league but then again these aren't people like us.they buy and sell on a whim,i'd bet some of these guys never drive them, look at them for a while or show off to their other rich buddies and then back to Mecum or B-J to be sold and a fresh load load brought in.i build mine and i drive them and if someone like them or makes a nice comment along the way, that's a bonus.

Absolutely.
I always say that these old guys are buying these vehicles for the Little Hottie sitting next to them, because they match the color of her shoes and purse.

Re: Prices of our trucks at BJ Scottsdale

With these prices, I wonder if I should have my 70 survivor appraised again, up my insurance policy. I can only wonder the new cost of the policy. I may have to sell my house to afford it. Not sure the wife will like sleeping in the uncovered bed(grin).

Havin fun...Don.

Did you see that pink/coral 65 (maybe 64,66, r 67) Corvette convertible? Nothing too special, except it sold for $1m. The dude's girlfriend was jumping in her seat when he won. No self respecting guy would have bought that car for himself. That was definitely a case of "I am getting laid tonight!"

Re: Prices of our trucks at BJ Scottsdale

I’m looking at the picture of the Humvee and I’m thinking why would you do that and what are you gonna use it for? As far as the prices I’m thinking just because you can do something doesn’t mean that you should. Crazy rich people spending their money like it’s a monopoly game.
